Job summary

Responsive Education Solutions is seeking experienced virtual teachers who are Texas-certified and reside in Texas. This home-based position supports expanding virtual learning options for students across the state, emphasizing mastery-based and individualized approaches to reach Grades 3-12.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of teaching in a Texas Public School and virtual teaching experience, with preferred ongoing professional development in online learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification in your area of instruction.
• 1-3 years of teaching experience in a Texas Public School.
• 1-3 years of virtual teaching experience (Preferred).
• Have two or more years of documented experience teaching online courses for students in Grades 3-12, AND successfully completed continuing professional development specific to online learning every three years (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the knowledge of students and commit to stretching students’ cognitive capacities.
• Use differentiated instruction to personalize learning and proactively minimize confusion or disengagement.
• Deliver instruction to generate further student inquiry to promote problem-solving and higher-order thinking.
• Establish a positive classroom climate and maintain an emotionally safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with special educators to implement accommodations and modifications as needed.
