BHS encourages a collaborative culture with hands‑on leadership and provides state‑of‑the‑art psychiatric services.

Job Summary

As a Regional Psychiatrist, you will oversee the psychiatric clinical programs in Nevada, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines. You will conduct evaluations and assessments for new patients, develop care plans, manage medication, and communicate with nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide medication management, evaluate effectiveness and side effects, prescribe medication, and adjust dosages.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and diagnosis codes.
  • Provide clinical oversight and review of medical documentation created by PMHNPs in the Idaho practice.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals—therapists, psychologists, social workers—to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to provide updates on patient progress and coordinate care.
  • Attend training and continuing education programs to stay current on best practices and new research in psychiatry.

Requirements
