Job summary

360 Rail Services LLC in LaPorte, TX is seeking a Texas Maintenance Foreman to lead a track maintenance crew on railroad projects. Reports to the LaPorte Maintenance Manager; compensation based on experience. Requires rail industry experience and strong safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in rail construction/maintenance crew.
• Knowledge of track construction/maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret project documents including schedules and specs.
• Proficiency in FRA Safety Track Standards.
• Strong communication and supervision skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Pre-plans work activities with Manager of Track Maintenance to develop best means and methods, including safety action plans.
• Reviews project documentation and plans to ensure field work meets latest specifications.
• Plans day-to-day operations including labor, tools, equipment, and materials.
• Supervises crew performance and enforces safety and company policies.
• Conducts daily briefing with crew on goals, safety, schedule, and hazards; solicits feedback.
• Maintains safety by modeling and enforcing safe work practices.
• Ensures proper safety equipment is available and used.
• Communicates with customers to ensure high satisfaction.
• Occasionally travels to job sites within and outside the state with overnight stays.
• Performs administrative tasks: production reports, timesheets, equipment logs, inspection reports, change orders.
• Expands track maintenance customer list.
