Job summary

Bomgaars in Weatherford, TX is seeking a friendly, outgoing Cashier with retail experience to greet customers and provide excellent service. This part-time, onsite role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to be part of a team that serves rural communities.

You will operate the register, handle transactions, bag items, promote loyalty programs, and help maintain a clean checkout area. The position requires 18+, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Cashier and retail experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Detail oriented.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
• Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Must be available to work flexible schedules - days, evenings, weekends (shift premium paid for working weekends)

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately (cash, correct change, credit cards, debit cards, and checks)
• Scan and bag items for customers
• Process customer returns and exchanges according to store policy
• Promote store loyalty programs/special promotions/coupon redemption
• Balance cash drawers at the end of the shift
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area
• Stocking the front end of the store
• Handling phone calls
• Background Check Required
