Job summary

KFM Engineering & Design, part of the HFW Companies network, seeks a Project Manager to lead land development and infrastructure projects across Texas. You will guide projects from planning through design, permitting, and construction, serving as the primary contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required, preferably Texas or eligible for reciprocity.
• 7+ years of civil engineering experience with land development/infrastructure focus.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil design software.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple civil engineering and land development projects from concept through construction.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, municipalities, utilities, and regulators.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans for projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, surveyors, and subconsultants.
• Oversee preparation and review of plans, reports, specs, and permit applications.
• Monitor financial performance: budgets, invoicing, profitability, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and design standards; conduct QA/QC on deliverables.
• Coordinate entitlement, permitting, and agency approvals; support proposals and BD.
• Mentor Project Engineers and junior staff; contribute to growth initiatives.
