HDR has an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced water industry professional to serve as our Texas Gulf Wastewater Treatment Team Lead. You will lead and grow the wastewater treatment team in the Texas Gulf Coast region, supporting projects in the area, and collaborating with various leadership and client teams on technical and business development strategies. Your work will span from master planning through design and construction support. Key duties include pursuing opportunities, mentoring staff, delivering projects, and expanding our business portfolio. Providing leadership through mentoring, directing, and delegating is essential, along with focusing on executing HDR’s growth strategy.

As the Texas Gulf Wastewater Treatment Team Lead, you will collaborate with regional and national technology leaders to enhance local capabilities and support national pursuits and project delivery efforts, especially in planning, nutrient removal, solids handling, condition assessment, and wastewater treatment facility design.

In this role, we count on you to:

  • Manage operations of the production section, including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support.
  • Function as a Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager or Design Engineer, overseeing project production and management responsibilities.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities for staff and technical services, coordinating with other sections.
  • Participate in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews.
  • Engage with industrial and public clients on marketing and project issues.
  • Ensure work is well-planned, organized, and evaluated through proactive project management.
  • Implement and support company policies.
  • Assist in selecting, training, and managing technical personnel.
  • Work cooperatively with national directors and marketing staff on marketing and production efforts.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TX PE license or ability to obtain reciprocity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience.
  • Professional registration or license may be required based on role.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments effectively.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills.
