Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil seeks a Concrete Paving Superintendent to oversee all aspects of concrete paving on heavy civil projects. Travel across Texas with a primary focus in the Waco area, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality workmanship.

You will supervise crews, manage equipment and materials, and collaborate with project teams to resolve field issues while maintaining strict safety practices and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of concrete paving experience on heavy civil projects.
• 3–5 years in a superintendent role.
• Experience with slipform paving for highways and large-scale infrastructure.
• Understanding of concrete mix designs, testing, and QC procedures.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate daily concrete paving activities on heavy civil projects.
• Supervise crews, mentors, and train personnel; promote safety culture.
• Ensure adherence to plans, specs, drawings, and QC standards.
• Monitor production, progress, and resources to meet schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve field issues.
• Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Manage equipment utilization, maintenance, and allocation.
• Oversee material procurement and quality control for paving materials.
• Maintain daily reports on progress, safety observations, equipment hours, and manpower.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
