Job summary

The Planet Group in Jackson, MI is seeking a Scientific Testing Technician / Associate Supply Operations I for a 12-month contract. The role is onsite, 40 hours per week, with compensation of $18–$19 per hour.

You will perform a variety of technical testing tasks in the Rubber Good/Productive Apparatus Testing Department, operate testing equipment, conduct visual inspections, and handle cleaning with solvents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Forklift certification a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to stand/sit and use a pallet jack; repetitive bending and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of complex (technical/Scientific) tasks for the Rubber Good/Productive Apparatus Testing Department.
• Operate testing equipment, perform visual inspections, and clean/wash protective equipment with solvents and cleaning compounds.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or higher. working knowledge of Microsoft Suite - Word & Excel.

• Any scientific or technical field education a plus
• Forklift certified a plus
• Must be detailed oriented, exceptional organizational and operational skills, solid interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to work while standing, sitting, be able to use a pallet jack.
• Additionally this position requires repetitive bending and reaching.
