Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Testing Team Coordinator to support the Supervisor in leading day-to-day operations within the electrical testing area. You will help maintain workflow, support test stations, and ensure safe, efficient, and accurate testing of electrical equipment.

You will troubleshoot test failures, coordinate with Engineering and Quality for timely issue resolution, monitor cycle times and first-pass yield, and promote a safety-first culture on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of manufacturing experience with exposure to electrical assembly or testing.
  • Preferred: prior lead, trainer, or coordinator experience.
  • Hands-on electrical testing experience (continuity, hipot, functional/system testing).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous flow of electrical testing by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks.
  • Support and fill in at electrical test stations as needed (functional, high-voltage, and system testing).
  • Ensure all testing is performed in compliance with safety standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and assist in diagnosing electrical and functional test failures.
  • Escalate recurring or complex issues to Engineering, Quality, or leadership as appropriate.
  • Verify test equipment is operational, calibrated, and ready for use.
  • Monitor test output, cycle times, and first-pass yield to meet production targets.
  • Identify material, wiring, or component issues impacting test performance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Production) to resolve issues quickly.
  • Drive adherence to workmanship standards, documentation, and testing protocols.
  • Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the testing area.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture, especially around electrical hazards.

Position Summary

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience, with exposure to electrical assembly or testing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous lead, trainer, or coordinator experience
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing (e.g., continuity, hipot, functional/system testing)

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems or components

Physical & Work Environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to work with electrical test equipment, hand tools, and material handling equipment
  • Prolonged standing, walking, and working in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and production floor conditions
Additional Information
  • Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required based on production needs
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
