Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks a Division Testing Support Specialist to provide advanced technical and administrative support for testing programs. The role operates independently within established procedures and handles confidential information with sound judgment.

The Division Testing Support Specialist provides advanced technical and administrative support for testing programs in Chesterfield County Public Schools (CCPS). The Specialist works independently within established procedures and standard practices. Tasks performed are outlined in oral and written instructions, and considerable professional judgment and confidentiality are required.
This position has no budgetary responsibility.

Position may require the use of computer and presentation technology, general office equipment, and other specific equipment related to testing.
This position has frequent contact with all levels within the division, as well as with external entities, including Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) personnel, assessment vendors, and private placement providers.
This position does not supervise others, but may provide general guidance on testing procedures, as needed.
This position functions independently within the context of daily activities. Considerable professional judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality are required.
This position does not have any formal policy-setting responsibilities.
Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to use a telephone; to enter data into a computer terminal; hear, understand speech and speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly at normal levels indoors and on the telephone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception, distance vision and close vision to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids. Physical agility to drive, bend, stoop, sit, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead. May be required to lift materials up to 50 pounds.
The employee regularly works in an office environment. The noise level is typically quiet to moderate. Occasional travel to school locations may be required to provide testing-related support. The noise levels will vary based on location.
Education, training, or experience sufficient to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Experience with the administration and/or support of required federal and state assessments, such as the Virginia Assessment Program
