Job summary

Southcentral Foundation (SCF) invites applications for a Testing Psychologist to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide diagnoses and treatment recommendations for a spectrum of cognitive and learning disorders across ages, with emphasis on ADHD and autism.

The role supports Alaska Native communities, requiring state licensure, a clinical or counseling psychology doctoral degree, and at least two years of post-doctoral assessment experience.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology required.
• Licensed psychologist in Alaska.
• Two years of experience in assessment of psychological disorders and related conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations for ADHD, autism, behavioral issues and learning disabilities across children, adolescents, and adults.
• Deliver comprehensive written and verbal feedback to patients and care teams.
• Adhere to health, safety, and professional licensure requirements; promote culturally informed care for Alaska Native populations.

Job description

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Testing Psychologist is responsible for the psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations of ADHD, Autism, Behavioral Issues, and/or Learning Disability, as well as other cognitive learning disorders of children, adolescents, and adults.

Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
• Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Alaska.
• Two (2) years of experience and specialized training in the assessment of psychological disorders and medical/physical conditions impacting cognitive or emotional functioning, at least one (1) of which is at the post-doctoral level, in the study and practice of clinical psychology and psychological assessment and interpretation.
