• Coordinate pipe flushing, cleaning, post-test preservation, debris prevention, and turnover readiness.
• Manage wastewater decontamination, containment, retention, sampling coordination, disposal planning, and environmental controls.

Project Overview:

Bechtel's Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing and building an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing Facility located at Generation Park in Houston, TX. Job Summary:

In this role, you will direct and organize pipe testing work including planning, safety, quality, technical execution, environmental controls, and turnover activities on a complex project. As field supervision, you will ensure hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, system cleanliness, decontamination, wastewater retention, and reinstatement are planned to coincide with the overall project schedule, executed safely and with quality, and completed within budget.

Major Responsibilities:

• Supervise safe execution of pipe testing, flushing, cleaning, wastewater handling, reinstatement, and turnover activities.
• Plan and coordinate hydrostatic and pneumatic testing by system, test boundary, schedule priority, and turnover sequence.
• Verify test packages, permits, isolation boundaries, pressure limits, gauges, barricades, exclusion zones, communication protocols, and hold points are complete before testing begins.
• Coordinate pipe flushing, cleaning, post-test preservation, cleanliness verification, temporary strainer management, and debris prevention to meet project and commissioning requirements.
• Manage wastewater decontamination, containment, retention, sampling coordination, disposal planning, and environmental controls associated with testing and flushing activities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevantexperience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Expert knowledge of hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, cleanliness verification, reinstatement, wastewater retention, and system turnover.
• Strong understanding of pressure testing hazards, stored energy controls, barricading, leak checks, safe depressurization, and emergency response requirements.
• Ability to drive AWP-based test planning by system and boundary, manage constraints, and protect schedule-critical turnover milestones.
• Working knowledge of flushing media, temporary strainers, cleanliness acceptance criteria, debris prevention, post-test preservation, and commissioning readiness requirements.
• Ability to coordinate across engineering, quality, safety, environmental, commissioning, and craft teams to resolve testing issues and support clean system turnover.
