Job summary

Harvey Performance Company, LLC in Meridian, ID is seeking a Testing Engineer who will leverage real-world testing with FEA and Research teams to drive innovation and refine products across brands.

You will draft testing procedures, validate programs, oversee timelines, manage tooling and maintenance, and deliver detailed technical reports while maintaining lab cleanliness and knowledge base.

Qualifications

• BSME with 1 year of relevant experience (or technical degree with 3 years).
• 1+ years of CAM (MasterCAM/NX) experience.
• 1+ years of Tool Grinding & Grinding CAM (ToolStudio/VGPro) experience.
• 1+ years of CNC milling (Okuma/HAAS controller) experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft testing procedures and guidelines.
• Create and validate testing programs using MasterCam and NX.
• Procures quotes for fixturing, machine parts, and in-house tooling.
• Utilizes Tool Studio and VG Pro to design and grind tooling.
• Creates demo parts to showcase product features and performance.
• Oversee project timeline to ensure accuracy and deadlines.
• Schedule post-test inspection using CMMs, 3D scanners, and hardness testers.
• Inspect tools to identify wear characteristics and tool life.
• Draft detailed technical reports to present findings and improvements.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for machine upkeep and external maintenance if needed.
• Ensure lab cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain tooling knowledge base through literature and events.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for leveraging real world testing in conjunction with Finite Element Analysis and Research teams. Your primary objective is to help drive innovation by developing new products and refining existing ones, ensuring continuous improvement across all brands.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Draft testing procedures and guidelines.
• Create and validate testing programs using MasterCam and NX.
• Procures quotes for fixturing, machine parts, and in-house tooling.
• Utilizes Tool Studio and VG Pro to design and grind tooling.
• Creates visually compelling demo parts to showcase product features and performance.
• Oversee project timeline to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Schedule post-test inspection of materials and tooling, utilizing advanced tools such as CMM’s, 3D tool scanners, and hardness testers.
• Inspect tools to identify wear characteristics to understand tool life (Alicona & Flex Bar)
• Draft detailed technical reports to present findings and identify areas for improvement.
• Work with Maintenance department to ensure machine upkeep and schedule external maintenance if required.
• Ensure lab cleanliness and organization.
• Maintains a current tooling and machining knowledge base through literature, field visits, tradeshows, and more.

YOU'LL BRING:

• BSME with 1 year of relevant experience, or technical degree with 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• 1+ years of CAM (MasterCAM/NX) experience preferred.
• 1+ years of Tool Grinding & Grinding CAM (ToolStudio/VGPro) experience preferred.
• 1+ years of CNC milling (Okuma/HAAS controller) experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
