Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking a Program Coordinator to support and grow a specified program through research, planning and administration. You will coordinate daily operations, assist with events, and help develop materials to meet the department's mission.

  • Registers students for courses using University procedures and systems.
  • Develops strategic partnerships with external entities.
  • Creates monthly budget reports to track operations.
  • Maintains database and enrollment records.
  • Ensures administrative forms for instructor services are timely.
  • Responds to instructor requests via calls, email, and submissions.
  • Plans and participates in department meetings.
  • Supports department leadership with clerical tasks.
  • Serves as liaison between department and other units.
  • Prepares marketing, recruiting, fundraising, and data reporting materials.
  • Makes travel arrangements for leadership and staff and coordinates reimbursements.
  • Coordinates events and related tasks.
  • Adheres to University policies and safeguards assets.

This position coordinates day-to-day operations of the program, event planning activities, and the assists with the development, organization, production, and evaluation of the program to achieve its mission, goals, and objectives.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS1. Evaluates the learning experience and improve the quality and value of the program.2. Registers students for courses using University procedures and systems, if needed.3. Develops strategic partnerships with external entities and organizations.4. Creates monthly budget reports to ensure operations are within plan.5. Assists with database maintenance and enrollment management.6. Ensures administrative processes and associated forms for instructor services are completed in a timely manner.7. Responds to various instructor requests and telephone, email, and internet submissions for all programs.8. Plans and participates in meetings for the department.9. Supports department and/or department leadership with daily clerical tasks.10. Serves as the liaison between the department and other business units.11. Prepares materials related to marketing, student recruiting, fundraising, data reporting and other functions needed to support the work of the department.12. Makes travel arrangements and reservations for department leadership and staff, and coordinates reimbursements as needed.13. Coordinates events and relevant tasks.14.
