Job summary

Simcona in Rochester, NY is seeking a Tester to verify that finished products meet customer drawings and work instructions, read schematics, and troubleshoot control panels under supervision of Engineering.

This full-time, on-site position requires attention to detail, adherence to electrical standards, and the ability to work independently to support quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Verify that finished products match customer drawings and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot defective or incorrectly assembled control panels.
• Read schematics and drawings of various types.
• Report nonconforming material per Quality Procedures.
• Communicate customer and regulatory requirements to Electrical Assembly employees.
• Ensure products meet customer requirements and maintain quality.
• Maintain knowledge of standards such as NEMA, NEC, UL, IEC.
• Work efficiently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to verify product conformance to drawings and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with control panels.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Report nonconforming material per established procedures.
• Assist Engineering in relaying customer/regulatory requirements to staff.
• Maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions :

• Following procedures, verify that finished products match customer requirements as defined by drawings and work instructions provided by the Engineering Department
• Troubleshoot defective or incorrectly assembled control panels using any tools or methods necessary
• Understand and be able to read schematics and drawings of all types.
• Report nonconforming material using established Quality Procedures.
• Assist Engineering in communicating customer and regulatory requirements to Electrical Assembly employees
• Assure that finished products are capable of meeting customer requirements, and demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction
• Maintain working knowledge of applicable electrical standards such as NEMA, NEC, UL, IEC.
• Must have ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.

Salary Range: $25 - $38 Per Hour
