Job Description

• The Tester is responsible for developing and delivering testing services for multiple projects across various agencies and teams.
• This role supports the development of Standard Operating Procedures for testing services and provides testing for client agencies.
• The Tester 3 plans, constructs, and executes various tests including product, system, unit, load, volume, and network tests, collaborating with others for release control processes.
• More experienced testers manage and plan tests, and integrate with release processes.
• Testers gain significant business application knowledge.

Years of Relevant Experience:

• 4+ years

Preferred Education:

• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
• Required by Maine State Government

Role Responsibilities:

• Create test models, plans, data, and scripts for product testing and release control.
• Conduct structured walkthroughs and execute various tests.
• Meet time estimates and communicate status updates.
• Follow quality standards and work effectively in a team environment.
• Develop contingency plans, define test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Understand business requirements and maintain testing standards.
• Resolve testing issues, manage test environments, and coordinate testing activities.
• Monitor project timelines, improve testing skills, and stay updated on industry developments.
• Define entry/exit criteria, schedule tests, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Identify and track issues, risks, and action items.
• Support and guide team members and assist in planning and executing tests.
