Qualifications

  • Strong aptitude in geometry, numerics, and statistics.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Assist measurements of a device under test to ensure products operate within specification.
  • Work on the production line performing signal integrity testing for passive DUTs.
  • Assist with S-Parameter measurements for Product Engineering, R&D Engineering and Operations with VNA up to 67 GHz.
  • Assist with Electrical Measurements using 4-Wire Meter, Oscilloscope, and Function Generator.
  • Record, store, and process data in Excel to create graphs and reports with PowerPoint.
  • Maintain a Laboratory Notebook and track all experiments performed.
  • Interact with Manufacturing and Engineering as needed.
  • Handle highly sensitive equipment with consistency and precision.

Position Summary:Test Technician- Signal Integrity
Location: Amphenol Ardent Concepts - Hampton, NH

Amphenol Ardent Concepts is a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance multicoax and coaxial assemblies, connectors, and sockets used in the development of next generation semiconductors and electronics systems. Our core technology is the smallest, fastest, most electrically efficient compression mount connector technology worldwide. As data rate requirements increase and devices and systems shrink, Ardent’s products deliver superior signal integrity in a dense footprint that can be reusable across programs to maximize cost savings.

Position requires candidate to be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR § 120.15 (U.S citizen or resident alien status and defined by 8 U.S.C 1101(a)(20)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Test Technician will assist and perform necessary measurements of a device under test to ensure products operate within specification.
  • Work on the production line, performing signal integrity testing to ensure electrical specifications of manufactured passive DUTs are met
  • Assist with S-Parameter measurements for Product Engineering, R&D Engineering and Operations with a 6 GHz, 40 GHz and 67 GHz Vector Network Analyzer
  • Assist with obtaining Electrical Measurements with a 4-Wire Meter, Oscilloscope, and Function Generator.
  • Assist with performing repeatable measurements for experiments and characterizations
  • Assist with performing repeatable cycle or stress measurements using mechanical fixtures or obtains mechanical parameters
  • Accurately record, store, and process data in Excel to create graphs and reports with PowerPoint
  • Keep track of all work and experiments performed in a Laboratory Notebook
  • Interact as needed with Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Cautious around highly sensitive equipment and performs work with consistency and precision
Physical Requirements
  • Repeatable Process: Connecting and disconnecting threaded cable connectors by hand requiring the use of precision torque and or static wrenches
  • Largely Sedentary role: This position will use benchtop instruments and computers
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Strong geometric, numerical, and statistical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret geometric drawings, schematics, and block diagrams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products- Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong accuracy and organizational skills
