Sechan Electronics Job Opportunity: Test Technician Lead

The Test Technician Lead will lead and mentor test technicians and manage current programs. This individual will assist the Test Operations Manager and Test Supervisor, plan for effective resource and personnel allocation, monitor scheduling, and ensure timely deliverables. The role acts as the lead for all employees on 2nd shift, ensuring coordination and safety.
Position Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage current programs, coordinating test efforts with the Test Supervisor.
- Serve as the point of contact for shift employees, communicating company goals and liaising with first shift supervisors and managers.
- Assist with personnel and resource allocation.
- Identify and mitigate issues affecting deliverables, investigate non-conformances, and report to the Test Supervisor.
- Ensure test fixtures, software, and equipment are ready, calibrated, and operational.
- Test electronic units, analyze results, and evaluate performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering instructions for electronics assembly.
- Resolve equipment malfunctions independently or with engineers.
- Identify complex problems and evaluate solutions.
- Maintain logs and manuals for testing and equipment operation.
- Assemble, test, and maintain test equipment per engineering instructions.
- Maintain inventory and documentation of test equipment.
- Attend workshops to stay updated on test equipment and tools.
- Monitor machine and equipment indicators for proper operation.
- Determine tools and equipment needed for tasks.
- Act as lead technician on complex projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
- Troubleshoot failures to component level.
Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge in RF, digital, and analog electronics.
- Proficient in electronics testing, troubleshooting, and computer equipment.
- Experience with hand tools, measuring devices, and test equipment.
- Knowledge of testing requirements, production processes, and quality control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and test software platforms.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or military training.
- 10+ years of experience in testing and troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies.
- Leadership ability to motivate and engage teams.
- Ability to operate test systems and interpret technical documents.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined areas.
Work Environment:
- Production environment requiring physical activity up to 9 hours daily.
- 9/80 work schedule.
