Job summary

RTX is seeking an Onsite Electronics Technician to support avionics testing near Melbourne, FL. You will follow blueprints, perform functional tests, and document results while ensuring safety compliance and quality standards.

The role requires operating test equipment, loading/unloading gear, and working with SAP in a collaborative team environment. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience; AS in Electronics Technology is preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain export authorizations.
• Typically requires HS diploma (or GED) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to meet product specs and tolerance levels.
• Perform functional testing per pre-established procedures and document results.
• Operate and troubleshoot testing equipment; load/unload electronic equipment in test beds.
• Use SAP and other computer tools; keep processes on schedule; train others as needed.
• Interface with other groups to resolve issues and participate in audits.

What You Will Do

• Follows blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met
• Performs functional testing per part specific pre-established test procedure.
• Monitors tests through completion, record test data, and service test equipment as required.
• Documents acceptance or failure results.
• Demonstrates proper use of simple hand/machine tools, electronic/manual test equipment and mechanical measuring devices.
• Performs proper loading and unloading of electronic equipment in test beds.
• Complies with applicable elements of quality systems and participates in continuous improvement efforts (ACE).
• Meets internal and external customer deadlines as determined by team
• Acquires applicable skill/knowledge/certification as required.
• Complies with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs.
• Follows plans for production schedules and quality requirements.
• Understands end use of manufactured products.
• Proficiently uses computer tools such as SAP and accurately follows work instructions.
• Demonstrates initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.
• Trains others for technical tasks as needed
• Interfaces with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge, or resolve problems related to business issues.
• Participates in waste minimization efforts.
• Participates in audits.
• Requests tools and supplies in accordance with project requirements as needed

Qualifications You Must Have
