Job summary

Spectrum Control is seeking a Test Technician II in Philadelphia, PA. The role focuses on testing filters, hybrids, VCOs and IMAs to ensure conformance with dimensions and performance specs using precision measuring instruments.

The technician will troubleshoot equipment, assist in test equipment procurement, and support process validations while collaborating with engineering and operations to improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree or microelectronics experience.
• 1–3 years in electrical/electronics testing or related field.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of test equipment such as network/spectrum analyzers and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, measure and test products using electronic measuring equipment and microscope.
• Interpret test schedules, work orders, manuals and schematics to determine testing procedures.
• Connect and tune units using test equipment (VOM, power supply, signal generator, network/spectrum analyzers, environmental chamber).
• Perform final acceptance testing per customer specifications and document results.
• Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting and rework of non-conforming products.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement in Manufacturing.
• Train other technicians and assist engineering with test equipment and validations.
