Job summary

Emerald Technologies in Saline, MI is seeking a Test Technician I for the second shift to perform medium-to-high complexity tests on PCBAs and assemblies. You will operate test stations, troubleshoot to the component level, and ensure compliance with functionality and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include flying probe, ICT, or FCT testing, setting up test fixtures, calibrating equipment, documenting results, and mentoring junior teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics training preferred (A+ or equivalent).
• 0–2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Ability to read electronics schematics.
• IPC-600, IPC-610, or J-STD-001 certification preferred, but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and test documentation tools.

• Perform all duties of more junior positions.
• Verify the calibration status, if required, of the equipment in use.
• Use electronic test equipment, like DMM, PSU, programmers etc. to perform assigned tasks.
• Train and support junior team members, as required.
• Troubleshoot to the component level the failures identified by the test operators and other test technicians within the test fixtures or other suitable setups.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and production data.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Keep work area clean and organized following established procedures.
• Support team goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Test Technician its Saline, MI second shift team!Test Technician I is responsible for performing medium-to-high complexity tests, identifying failures, and resolving failures by troubleshooting to the component level, ensuring that the product complies with the functionality and quality required. This applies to PCBAs or higher-level assemblies.
