Job summary

IMMI, a safety systems leader headquartered in Westfield, Indiana, seeks a detail-oriented Test Technician to conduct customer testing across CAPE centers per established standards. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and sales to generate high-quality test data while ensuring confidentiality and safety.

Responsibilities include setting up fixtures, reviewing test requests, maintaining calibration, and analyzing results.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in technology or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with hand tools and setting up complex test setups.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office and related applications.
• Physically capable of performing non-desk work (lifting up to 50 lbs, etc.).
• Must maintain forklift and pyrotechnic licenses and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate electronics, tools, and testing software with required licenses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong customer service.
• Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and legal responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CAPE functions to design and install fixtures and data acquisition systems.
• Review test requests for clarity before setup.
• Perform tests per standards and SOPs while ensuring safety.
• Maintain equipment calibration and perform required maintenance.
• Review data and analyze modes of failure when applicable.
• Provide feedback to improve SOPs and procedures.
• Operate and maintain test center equipment and software.
• Stay current with technology and participate in cross-functional testing.
• Assist with CAPE tours and protect confidential information.
• Travel as needed for training or testing; hold a valid driver’s license.
• Provide after-hours or weekend coverage to meet deadlines.
