What we need

Symbotic is looking for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, solutions-oriented, and creative environments. The primary responsibility in this position will be the functional testing of our Autonomous Robots under limited supervision. This includes analyzing, troubleshooting, identifying root-cause problems, visual inspection, managing multiple tasks, meeting tight deadlines, and providing feedback to management to improve testing efficiency.

2nd Shift hours are 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What we do

The Warehouse team within the Service Center of Excellence supports service, repair, testing, evaluation, and field support activities. We manage shipping, receiving, and material handling for repair-related materials, focusing on meeting repair and service material needs for customer satisfaction. The team collaborates closely with other departments to ensure accurate material movement and transaction processing.

What you’ll do

• Configure, test, and inspect Symbotic robots.
• Troubleshoot Symbotic Robots using knowledge of mechatronics and Linux embedded systems at a basic component level.
• Test Symbotic electromechanical subassemblies for functionality and quality.
• Perform electro-mechanical repairs on Symbotic Robots following established troubleshooting methods.
• Perform software and firmware upgrades to robotic drive units and sub-assemblies.
• Document problems on travelers and in the manufacturing test database.
• Issue tickets for corrective actions as needed.
• Assist engineers with activities for robot improvements.
• Document test results and issues encountered during testing.
• Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

What you’ll need

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the electrical or robotic field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a production test role or similar environment.
• Experience with mechatronics (stepper/servo motors, actuators, controllers) is a plus.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for computers, networks, and software installation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Teams).
• Initiative, organization, and the ability to lift 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical test equipment.
• Ability to train contractors and manage multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated with a hands-on skill set and eagerness to learn.

Our Environment

• Work involves climbing stairs and working near high railings.
• Subject to environmental conditions, including working in temperatures from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
• Required to wear PPE at construction sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and move items up to 80 lbs.
• Stand and walk for 10-12 hours, often at heights up to 45 feet.
• Must comply with all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and fall protection.
