Responsibilities

• Test functional performance of circuit breakers, including electrical and mechanical functions, leak tests, high voltage tests, visual and dimensional inspections.
• Perform mechanical adjustment operations on circuit breaker components, linkages, and operating mechanisms.
• Compare results with specifications, record test data, and print test results.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs, such as replacing defective wiring and electrical components, and mechanical repairs.
• Support production during repair procedures when required.
• Analyze test results on defective units and report on nonconforming products.
• Consult with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and resolve problems.
• Review test reports from other test technicians and maintain test report files.
• Calibrate test instruments according to specifications.
• Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical test equipment, gas‑handling equipment, and test facilities.
• Ensure that the product meets customer requirements for finished goods.
• Document work performed by filling out proper forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work evening shift and overtime as needed.

Education and Experience

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in quality control testing or electrical panel wiring.

Desired Characteristics

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as test standards, inspection and test procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals (including IEEE and IEC standards).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong communication skills: speak effectively, write routine reports and correspondence.
• Articulate, professional, with good interpersonal skills for frequent customer witness tests.
