Job summary

Signia Aerospace, a global provider of high-performance aerospace systems, seeks a Test Technician for Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch in Anaheim, CA. This on-site role supports functional and performance testing of helicopter hoists and cargo winches, following blueprints and quality standards.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, pay $25.00 per hour under a union contract. A pre-employment background check and FAA-regulated drug test are required.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English, verbally and in writing, for reports and safety standards.
• High School diploma or GED with aerospace/automotive exposure; technical program preferred.
• U.S. person status required and prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and performance testing on helicopter hoists and cargo winches per blueprints and quality standards.
• Use hand tools and equipment to make test adjustments during operations.
• Acquire necessary skills, knowledge, and certifications for duties.
• Inspect parts and finished products to identify any quality defects.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, EH&S requirements, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain tools, materials, and workspace in a clean, organized condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world's leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.

Position Overview

Location: Anaheim, CA (On-site)

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Pay: $25.00 per hour

This is a union position covered under a collective bargaining agreement.

Starting pay is $25.00 per hour per the union contract.

The ability to pass a pre-employment background check and an FAA-regulated drug test is required.

The Test Technician will be responsible for performing functional and performance testing of helicopter hoists and cargo winches, ensuring conformance to blueprint specifications and adherence to quality standards. In this role, you will utilize hand tools and equipment for test adjustments, inspect parts and products for quality, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

• Perform functional and performance testing on helicopter hoists and cargo winches in accordance with blueprint specifications and established quality standards.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment to perform necessary adjustments during test operations.

• Ensure compliance with applicable quality systems, environmental health, and safety requirements.

Who You Are

• This position requires the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, to complete inspection reports and understand safety and quality standards.
• High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 1 year of Aerospace or Automotive industry experience. Graduation from an Aerospace or Automotive technical program can substitute for experience.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed test instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
