Job summary

Eotech, Llc. is seeking a Test Technician to work with cross-functional engineers, performing standard testing on a variety of products and equipment, and to record and summarize results.

You will inspect and test components throughout development and manufacturing, operate lab equipment, and document outcomes to support quality and process improvements.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Position Reports To: Product Assurance & Quality Assurance Manager / Director

JOB SUMMARY

The Test Technician works with cross-functional engineers to performs standard testing processes on a variety of product & equipment, records and summarizes results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assume responsibility for inspecting, evaluating and documenting the performance, reliability & durability of parts / products to assure conformance.
  • Perform product testing during the development & manufacturing processes that includes engineering evaluations, R&D, and environmental qualifications. Tests may include humidity, temperature exposures, thermal & mechanical shock, vibration, immersion, electrical testing.
  • Perform tests on components before assembly and during development or on finished goods; assuring all tests are conducted in accordance with test instructions and documented procedures.
  • Operate environmental chambers and maintain/manage troubleshooting of some test lab equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inspection and test results, either manually and/or electronically.
  • Work with cross-functional team to maintain and monitor component performance & processes being utilized, provide input regarding needs for testing processes and equipment operation.
  • Provide technical support to operations assuring consistent application of quality fundamentals.
  • May assist in the development of requirements for test equipment and test fixtures.
  • May assist with calibration and verification of lab test equipment.
  • Is consistently at work and on time; assures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings on time.

EDUCATION
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Associates degree in a technical field preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • 1–2 years of product & process testing experience in a PD and/or manufacturing environment
  • Some experience with environmental tests such as Humidity, Thermal/Mechanical Shock and Temperature cycling
BACKGROUND PREREQUISITES
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification and reference checks.
  • Assures compliance with requirements, standards, and applicable regulatory authorities, and maintains product integrity
  • Performs verification and analyses using software tools to determine compliance to customer requirements and product specifications; writes corresponding test summaries
  • Works with cross-functional team to conduct required and appropriate testing
  • Provides manufacturing support assuring products are built according to customer requirements and product specifications. Assist in performing failure analysis and corrective actions when necessary
  • Assists in enhancing of test equipment of the optical device testing when needed
  • Dresses appropriately for position; keeps self well groomed.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Overtime required as needed.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
