Job summary

CNH Industrial in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking an Engineering Test Technician for 1st shift to validate structural, hydraulic, vibration, and noise characteristics on components and machines. Work in both lab and field environments to support development of construction products.

Responsibilities include building and configuring test setups, ensuring quality, and advancing testing capabilities with accurate instrumentation, while collaborating with Design, Product Evaluation, and Shop Supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience with data acquisition and instrumentation.
• 1-2 years of experience with mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge.

• Work from drawings, specifications, and data to build or rework prototypes and test fixtures.
• Maintain required quality specifications.
• Perform engineering test validations to determine performance and durability of components and vehicle systems.
• Install test instrumentation for structural, hydraulic, vibration, and noise tests on Skidsteer and CTL machines.
• Fabricate, set up, and disassemble test equipment and instrumentation.

Job Purpose

The Engineering Test Technician - 1st Shift is responsible for performing structural, hydraulic, vibration, and noise validation on component and Skidsteer and Compact Track Loader machines. Testing will be performed in lab and in field applications to support the overall development and enhancement of new and existing construction products.

Key Responsibilities

• Work from drawings, engineering specifications, sketches, verbal instructions, and other data, to build, maintain, or rework a wide variety of prototype components, lab fixtures, and test vehicles. Work closely with Design, Product Evaluation, and Shop Supervision in the development and construction of component parts and equipment.
• Maintain required quality specifications.
• Performs engineering test validations to determine the performance, reliability, and durability of components and vehicle systems.
• Installation of test instrumentation for structural, hydraulic, vibration, and noise tests on Skidsteer and Compact Track Loader machines.
• Fabricate, set-up, and disassemble test equipment and instrumentation

Experience Required

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience with data acquisition and instrumentation
• 1-2 years of experience with mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Communication skills to provide simple and detailed summaries

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD$31.89 - plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
