Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Test Technician in Utah to join the Mission Systems team. This onsite role supports testing ejection seats and related aerospace technologies at a supersonic rocket track, performing diverse tasks for active projects.

Responsibilities include facility upkeep, operating heavy equipment, handling rocket motor loads, and maintaining test gear. U.S. citizenship is required; relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required to access program materials.
  • Experience with common office software packages.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to organize multiple tasks

The Test Technician will be a part of a team testing ejection seats and other aerospace and defense technologies. The team performs test operations at a supersonic rocket track, and this individual will support the test team with the wide variety of tasks needed for these projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Maintain and repair facilities including water lines, buildings, etc.
  • Operating equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, and road graders
  • Loading and unloading rocket motors from test sleds
  • Cleaning and maintaining test track
  • Support building, maintaining and upgrading test equipment and fixtures
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE
  • Experience in a trade, facility maintenance, mechanical or aerospace repairs and maintenance
  • Experience with office computer software packages
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with organizing and multi-tasking
  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
QUALIFATIONS WE PREFER
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, including rough terrain cranes
  • Mechanical training or experience repairing vehicles and/or equipment
  • Experience with fabrication via welding or machining
  • Experience working in R&D, test environments or with ejection seats

The salary range for this role is 41,400 USD - 72,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
