Job summary

Teledyne LeCroy, a Teledyne Technologies subsidiary, is seeking a Test Technician to support the service team in repairing and calibrating oscilloscopes and probes. You will test, troubleshoot, and repair instruments at system and component levels, teaming with design engineers to restore products and ensure quality.

The role requires an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, familiarity with test equipment, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, waveform generators).
  • Ability to interpret production drawings, schematics, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions written in English.
  • Above-average computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.

  • Operate software-driven test stations.
  • Interpret production drawings and schematics to identify and resolve failures.
  • Operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, network analyzers, multimeters, power supplies and custom-designed fixtures.
  • Provide feedback to the engineering team to improve test processes.
  • Assist in evaluating test procedures, equipment, and workflows.
  • Contribute to documentation updates.
  • Document service unit issues and defects in tracking systems for metrics and future analysis.
  • Participate in team meetings and support key metrics and initiatives.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Test Technician to support our service team in the repair and calibration of oscilloscopes and probes. In this role, you will test, troubleshoot, and repair LeCroy instruments at both the system and component levels. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate across departments, work closely with product design engineers, and help restore and refurbish products.

Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, waveform generators).
  • Ability to interpret production drawings, schematics, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions written in English.
  • Above-average computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Genuine interest in the electronics industry.
  • Experience with coding, scripting or databases.
  • Basic soldering ability.
Salary Range

$44,500.00-$59,300.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
