Job summary

Setnix, a Setna iO company, in Tempe, Arizona, seeks a Test Technician to perform electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic testing of aircraft components in accordance with technical data and quality requirements.

You will set up and operate test equipment, read manuals and schematics, document results, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production to resolve discrepancies while maintaining safe, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• Previous electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical experience required; aerospace experience preferred.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, ammeters, transducers, Meggers, and dielectric testers.
• Reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Understanding of valves, solenoids, switches, and related electrical and mechanical components.
• Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred.
• Soldering experience preferred but not required.
• Previous inspection or Quality Assurance experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document test results.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
• Military technical experience is welcomed and may be considered relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot valves, solenoids, switches, and other electrical and mechanical components.
• Identify and document test results, discrepancies, and component conditions accurately.
• Perform basic troubleshooting to faults and carry out corrective actions.
• Verify that testing is completed in accordance with applicable specifications, procedures, and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation and testing records.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production personnel to resolve testing or component discrepancies.
• Maintain test equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
• Participate in process improvements to improve testing quality, efficiency, and reliability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Setnix, a Setna iO company, is an FAA- and EASA-certified repair station delivering high-quality maintenance, repair, and overhaul solutions for the aviation and aerospace industry. Based in Tempe, Arizona, Setnix specializes in APU and main engine teardown, inspection, testing, repair, overhaul, and certification of high demand rotables and aircraft components.

The Test Technician is responsible for performing electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic testing of aircraft and engine components in accordance with applicable technical data, work instructions, and quality requirements.

This position uses a variety of testing equipment and technical documentation to evaluate component functionality, identify discrepancies, and ensure completed work meets applicable quality, engineering, and customer requirements.

Requirements

What You’ll do

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods as required to perform job duties.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, assemble, test, and inspect aircraft components and operate tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to safely move and position aircraft components, tools, and testing equipment.
• Ability to perform work requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to visually inspect components, equipment, gauges, and test results for accuracy and defects.
• Ability to work in a production and repair-station environment where exposure to noise, machinery, oils, chemicals, and other shop conditions may occur.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
