Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking a technician to assist with modification, fabrication, assembly, operations, installation, repair and maintenance of general laboratory equipment.

You will set up experiments, run tests, and record data in a safe, compliant environment. Responsibilities include assembling equipment, operating lab and test equipment (DMMs, O-scopes, power supplies), and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to work with common hand tools.
• Experience with routine laboratory tasks and equipment.
• Ability to handle systems with unusual conditions (high pressure/voltage/cryogens/radioactive materials); basic computer operations knowledge.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Clean, adjust and replace parts on lab equipment.
• Set up routine experiments and record data.

Job Summary

Assists with modification, fabrication, assembly, operations, installation, repair and maintenance of general laboratory, experimental and commercial equipment; assists in set up and may conduct routine experiments and tests; records data.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assembles and installs simple laboratory equipment, experimental or commercial apparatus.
• Operates lab and experimental equipment and collects data.
• Cleans, adjusts and replaces parts on lab and experimental equipment.
• Sets up and checks out routine experiments and tests according to pre-arranged procedures, records experimental data.
• Capable of operating test equipment such as; digital multi-meters (DMMs), O-scopes, and power supplies.
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
• Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
• Additional Functions:
• Help maintain work area in an orderly condition by returning tools, equipment and materials to storage areas.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to work on systems which have unusual conditions such as high pressure, high voltage, high energy, cryogens, or radioactive materials. Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearance is required.

Job Type: Full-Time Hourly

Salary range: 38,230 - 56,838
