Job summary

Advantest America is seeking a detail-oriented Test Technician to perform functional testing of products for production shipments, warranty returns, and engineering studies. You will configure testing equipment, run automated scripts, and document results.

You will work closely with engineers to ensure procedures are followed, rotate among test stations, and maintain accurate records in the scheduling/tracking system.

Qualifications

• Experience performing functional testing and analysis.
• Ability to operate microscopes and perform precise inspections.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and procedures.
• Willingness to rotate among test stations and document results.

Overview

Normal schedule will be 9:30a - 6:00p Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of products to support insure product quality for production shipments, warranty returns, and engineering studies.
• Perform precise positioning and visual inspections of intricate parts and assemblies under microscope and other equipment.
• Perform failure analysis and material investigations using laboratory equipment.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure testing procedures are accurately performed.
• Configure testing equipment and initiate automated test scripts using a computer interface.
• Analyze test results, create test reports, and archive the test record on computer.
• Interpret the unit test results, disposition unit quality (pass/fail), prepare information needed to perform repairs, and route parts to next process step.
• Enter transactional job information into a computerized job scheduling/tracking system (MRP).
• Perform equipment calibrations, test standards, and archive results to monitor tester health.
• Rotate to different test stations based on daily assignments.
• Other duties may be assigned.
