Job summary

FHP Manufacturing in Fort Lauderdale, FL, seeks an experienced testing and programming specialist to support leak testing, final run tests, and motor/controller programming. You will work with line personnel to meet daily production targets and maintain testing equipment across all lines.

The role requires scripting and Boolean logic skills, reliability in troubleshooting, and ability to train operators while driving process improvements and accurate FPY reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 7+ years of related experience.
• 0-2+ years of manufacturing/engineering experience.
• 0-2+ years of team experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first escalation point for testing and programming operations (Leak Test, Final Run Test, Motor/Controller Programming).
• Collaborate with end-of-line test staff to meet daily production targets.
• Maintain testing and programming equipment on all lines and ensure availability of accessories (thermocouples, cables, plugs).
• Troubleshoot heat pumps and test equipment to locate root causes and implement resolutions.
• Document issues with FPY reports and drive improvements via problem-solving techniques.
• Assist in training operators to ensure proper testing procedures and identify improvement opportunities.
• Verify accuracy of Testbuilder troubleshooting data and update work instructions as needed.
• Create and update testing procedures and sequence cards reflecting current procedures.
