Job summary

FHP Manufacturing in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking an Assembly Runoff Associate for 1st shift in a mature geothermal products line. The role focuses on testing, assembly, brazing, wiring and quality checks to ensure compliant heat pump units and on-time production delivery.

As part of a multi-department team, you will read schematics, operate test equipment, follow work instructions, and apply safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Manufacturing experience in assembly preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to work overtime when requested.
• Must be flexible to work in other departments when requested.

Responsibilities

• Operation of testing equipment including Decay test, e-box, subassembly testing and end of line test at run off.
• Use piping schematics, electrical wiring diagrams and work instructions to assure 100% unit compliance with quality standards and product design.
• Assembling and brazing of copper piping, assembling refrigerant components for brazing, brazing in tight spots, reading and using wiring diagrams to complete electrical circuits, basic machine operation, using computer operated equipment to run and test heat pumps, using manual and power tools to assemble according to product specifications, meeting production goals.
• Ability to read and apply work instructions, follow directions, understand and execute safety and quality procedures.
• Wiring skills and working with electricity.
• Must be able to work overtime when requested.

For Associates working in assembly departments, tasks include but are not limited to:
