Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace seeks a Test Operator - Gravity Offloader at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will support gravity offload tests, follow detailed checklists, and monitor performance indicators to ensure subject safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2-5 years of experience in the field or related area.
  • Engineering degree with 2-10 years of experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • General computer and typing skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures and written/verbal instructions.
  • Experience with PPE and safety protocols.
  • Ability to visualize and solve practical problems.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team environment.
  • Assist in setup, reconfiguration, and clean-up of test area.
  • Startup and shutdown the system following checklists.
  • Monitor key performance indicators during tests to ensure safety.
  • Operate standard equipment and hand tools.
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of devices and systems.
  • Prepare safety documents and Test Readiness materials.
  • Adhere to SOPs, policies, and procedures for equipment use.
  • Maintain a neat, safe work area.
  • Identify and correct hazards at the work site.
