Job summary

softwareXperts GmbH is seeking an experienced Test Manager for large banking or payment programmes on a full remote basis. The role covers test strategy, test concept, quality gates, SIT, E2E, UAT, regression, and operational readiness in high-volume environments.

You will manage requirements-to-test traceability, defect management, and coordination across multiple entities and suppliers, ensuring audit-ready documentation, go/no-go decisions, and compliance with regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Test Manager or QA Lead in banking or payments.
• Enterprise test strategies coordinating multiple entities and vendors.
• Hands-on SIT, E2E, UAT, regression, and readiness testing.
• Tests across APIs, event-driven integrations, and payment platforms.
• Defect management with triage, severity models and escalation.
• Experience in regulated environments and go/no-go decisions.
• Working in real-time, high-volume transaction environments.

Your Tasks

Test management in large banking or payment programmes: test strategy, test concept, quality gates, SIT, E2E, UAT, regression, ORT

Requirements-to-test traceability and defect management (triage, severity models, ageing, escalation) using established test management tools

Testing payment integrations: REST/OpenAPI, messaging/events, file-based integration, end-to-end transaction traceability

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Test Manager, Test Lead or QA Lead in large, complex banking or payment programmes
• Established enterprise-level test strategies and coordinated integrated testing across multiple legal entities, delivery teams and suppliers
• Hands-on with SIT, E2E, UAT, regression and operational readiness testing
• Test management across APIs, event-driven integrations, payment platforms, core banking, customer channels and external infrastructures
• Requirements-to-test traceability, evidence standards, audit-ready test documentation
• Defect management including triage, severity models, root-cause coordination, ageing and escalation to management lev
• Experience with regulated environments, formal quality gates and preparing go/no-go decisions
• Experience with real-time, high-availability and high-volume transaction-processing environments
