Job summary

Coforge is seeking a QA professional in Oaks, PA to drive UI and API testing across Angular-based web applications. You will validate REST APIs, implement automated test suites, and collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners to ensure quality releases.

The role requires hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript or Python, plus strong scripting and CI/CD collaboration. You will work in a dynamic team and contribute to QA strategy and release validation.

Qualifications

• Experience in UI and Backend/API testing.
• Hands-on testing of Angular-based web applications.
• Strong REST API testing and validation (requests, responses, errors, filtering, sorting, pagination).
• Experience with API tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Knowledge of SQL and backend validation, preferably SQL Server.
• Hands-on Playwright automation with TypeScript or Python.
• Ability to design, maintain, and troubleshoot automated UI/API test suites.
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test execution.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Strong experience in UI and Backend/API testing
• Hands-on experience testing Angular-based web applications
• Strong understanding of REST API testing, including request/response validation, error handling, filtering, sorting, and pagination
• Experience with API tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar
• Good knowledge of SQL and backend/database validation, preferably SQL Server
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation, preferably using TypeScript/Python
• Ability to design, maintain, and troubleshoot automated UI/API test suites
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test execution

AI Exposure

• Familiarity with modern AI technologies and Generative AI
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted development/testing tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot is desirable
• Should understand how AI can be leveraged for test-case generation, automation-code assistance, test-data generation, and QA productivity
• Capable of working as both an Individual Contributor and QA Lead
• Able to independently own QA activities.
• Strong in requirement analysis, test planning, test-case design, execution, defect management, and release validation
• Able to coordinate with developers, BAs, product owners, and other QA resources
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Able to drive testing activities with minimal supervision
• Good verbal and written communication skills
