Job summary

The Ash Group is seeking a Test Lead for a 12-month contract in Minneapolis, MN or Denver, CO. Hybrid work arrangement with a pay rate up to $67/hr W2, based on skill set.

Lead testing on AVPP, write/execute SIT and UAT, manage testers, and report status to leadership while coordinating with PMs, BAs, architects, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of Test Lead experience in large enterprise environments.
• Experience in regulatory or process-heavy industries preferred.
• Experience running meetings and reporting to leadership.
• Strong JIRA experience (setup and execution).
• Waterfall methodology experience is required.
• Utility or similar sector experience preferred.
• Experience writing test cases (no automation or scripting).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is a must.
• Strong communication and executive presence.

Summary

The Ash Group is hiring a Test Lead (24717) for our client, a major electricity and natural gas utility provider. This is a 12-month contract position working in Minneapolis, MN or Denver, CO (Hybrid). We are offering a pay rate up to $67/hr, based on skill set.

• Compensation: Up to $67/hr W2 based on skill set

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support for one primary project: ADERMS Aggregator Virtual Power Plant (AVPP).
• Lead testing efforts including writing and executing SIT and UAT test cases.
• Manage testers, maintain JIRA space, and report testing status to PMs and leadership.
• Run daily or twice-daily testing meetings.
• Interface with PMs, BAs, architects, and vendors.

What We’re Looking For

• Must have 7–10+ years of experience.
• Experience in large enterprise environments is ideal.
• Experience with regulatory or process-heavy industries (e.g., Medtronic, Boston Scientific) is preferred.
• Experience running meetings as the primary facilitator and reporting to leadership.
• Strong JIRA experience (setup and execution).
• Waterfall methodology experience is a must.
• Utility experience preferred.
• Experience writing test cases (no automation or scripting) is required.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is a must.
