Job summary

Safety Test & Equipment Company in Mansfield, TX is seeking a PPE Lab Technician to perform material and electrical testing on PPE and related equipment in line with ASTM standards. This hands-on role supports the PPE Lab operations with emphasis on accuracy, safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience, strong teamwork, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical construction or warehouse operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment to perform electrical testing per ASTM standards.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and perform all functions within the scope of work.
• Participate in daily lab operations, including safety briefings, equipment maintenance, and timely completion of tasks.
• Accurately record and document test results using required forms and systems.
• Conduct inventory counts for internal and customer stock.
• Follow all safety protocols and operational standards.
• Assist with PPE warehouse organization, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The PPE Lab Technician is responsible for conducting material and electrical testing on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and related test equipment in accordance with ASTM standards.
