Job description

Spectrum is seeking highly qualified Engineers and/or Analysts to support Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) programs located in Nellis AFB, NV.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

As an Engineer/Analyst you will advise and assist our customer with operational test planning, execution, and reporting. You will provide daily technical assistance in developing test objectives and test plans, test execution, result analysis, and reporting to support operational effectiveness, suitability, and/or mission capability evaluations.

Experience:

  • For all positions, possess a continuum of academic education and professional training, and experience commensurate with the specific position, along with experience within the DoD systems acquisition enterprise (DoDD 5000.01 and the Adaptive Acquisition Framework).
  • Specific position(s) will require appropriate level of technical knowledge, experience and recognized ability to perform tasks within the technical/professional discipline.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of military aircraft flight test engineering—preferably Operational T&E, including test scenario development; integrated testing (combined Developmental/ Operational); use of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools, plus validation, verification and accreditation (VV&A) of models; and a wide range of hardware and software systems.
  • Prefer Knowledge/Training/Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) concepts, statistical principles, data analytics, including analytical techniques, methodologies, statistical processes, and applicable commercial software applications.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office product suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access).
  • Ability to learn new software applications for data analytics and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of the handling, processing and disposition of highly confidential information.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, adapt to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

Security Clearance:

  • Due to the sensitivity of customer requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. An active, fully adjudicated DoD Security clearance required.
  • The required clearance level is dependent upon position and project assignment, and may include: Secret, Top Secret, and NATO endorsements; plus, selected hires must be eligible for special access programs (SAP) to perform assignments.

Education:

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a technical field from a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) based program.
  • A Master of Science degree in a technical field from a STEM based program is desired.
