A major aerospace company seeks a Test & Evaluation Engineer to join their Environmental Testing team in Seattle. This role involves developing test procedures, analyzing data, and supporting various testing environments for air control and smoke detection systems. Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) verifies and validates the company’s products and services, ensuring they operate as designed and meet the rigorous requirements of regulatory agencies and Boeing customers. The Airplane Environmental Control Systems (AECS) lab provides a complete range of development and certification testing services supporting key deliverables for defense and commercial programs.
In the AECS, this engineering role provides test setups, equipment and support to meet requirements for testing commonly involving air control systems and smoke detection systems.Other testing includes moisture control, thermal chambers, rapid decompression, vacuum systems and potable water systems, as well as custom one-of-a-kind test setups.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Mid-Level Test & Evaluation Engineers - Environmental Testing.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports the development and verification of test methods
Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements
Uses analytical tools to verify the design
Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements
Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements
Presents test results internally
Archives data and reports
Trains others
Works under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Experience in mechanical engineering
Experience with parametric 3D CAD design (Solidworks, CATIA, AutoCAD, Rhino, and/or NX)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Experience working in a lab test or similar test environment

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $85,850 – $116,150
Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $102,000 – $138,000
