Job summary

CTS Technology Solutions, Inc. in El Segundo, CA, is seeking an experienced Space Systems Engineer to support spacecraft bus integration, subsystem verification, and issue resolution. You will work on test readiness, anomaly analysis, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

This onsite role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, with the option to contribute to 24/7 operations and off-shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Position

Overview

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. US Citizenship Required.

Staffing need aligns across those efforts by providing essential engineering coverage for spacecraft bus integration, subsystem verification, and issue resolution. These capabilities support program execution, reduce schedule risk, and help maintain technical quality across all affected efforts.

Ability to work off-shifts / non-standard schedules to support 24/7 operations is also required

100% onsite.

Critical Statement of Work:

• Supporting satellite bus architecture, integration, and verification activities
• Providing electrical subsystem engineering support, including performance analysis and issue resolution
• Assisting with interface definition and compatibility assessments between various subsystems
• Supporting system-level troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, and test readiness
• Ensuring compliance with program requirements, mission performance objectives, and customer expectations

Major program milestone items:

• Test phase completions
• Key capability expertise
• Satellite bus systems engineering and integration
• Spacecraft electrical and mechanical interface knowledge
• Non-bus subsystem design, analysis, and test support
• Systems verification, validation, and troubleshooting

6+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.

Requirements

What you'll need

Required Skills:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
• This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
• Experience with test instrumentation and/or methods
• Experience working in a test laboratory environment
• Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic equipment
• Experience conducting verification, test, and/or data analysis

Preferred Skills:

• 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with Space systems (i.e. satellites)
• Experience operating and calibrating bench/lab test equipment as well as measurement and power devices
• Experience with electrical systems and/or RF subsystems
• Strong communication, collaboration, and coordination skills
• Strong desire and ability to naturally follow, promote, and uphold company values & behaviors
• Excellent process and technical drive to sustain the effectiveness of lean test operations

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
