Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a Test Equipment Technician - Calibration in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on calibrating optical and electronic equipment, testing procedures, and maintaining instruments per specifications.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of optics calibration experience, familiarity with interferometers, autocollimators, RF and electrical testing gear, and basic MS Office skills. Benefit package includes 401K and health plans.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years experience in optics measurement and calibration.
• Experience with calibr ation tools: interferometer, autocollimator, optical alignment scopes, IR equipment, oscilloscope, RF generator, DMM.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to read procedures.
• Hardware calibration experience and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates optical and electronic measuring equipment to conform to set standards.
• Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains various instruments including optical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and pressure-type devices.
• Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures from specifications, blueprints and requirements.
• Disassembles, cleans and replaces defective parts of test equipment.
• May monitor and verify quality using statistical process control.

First shift schedule Monday through Thursday from 6:30am-4:30pm

Job Description:

Calibrates optical and electronic measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.

Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains optical, electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.

Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.

Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment.

May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Job Requirements:

Must have at least 2+ Years of Experience with the following:

• Experience working with and measuring optics
• Experience with test measurement calibration tools (interferometer, autocollimator, optical alignment scopes, IR equipment, oscilloscope, RF generator, DMM)
• Electronic experience
• Physical calibration experience
• Experience with Indy soft (current calibration system used by team)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (to read procedures)
• High school diploma required (No degree required)
