Set Of X is seeking a Test Engineer to automate and execute tests on complex systems, leveraging Python, PyTest, and CI tools. You will design test cases, perform baseline and regression testing, analyze large log data, and document results.

The role involves building lab environments with telephony and networking hardware and collaborating in an Agile setting. The capacity to manage discrepancies, work across Windows/Linux environments, and contribute to test documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience testing complex systems and developing/executing test scripts.
• Strong Python experience including scripting and data analysis.
• Experience with creating/test case scenarios and procedures for tests.
• Familiarity with integrating new and old technologies into test beds and configurations.
• Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing.
• Experience building and testing multiple lab environments using telephony and networking hardware.
• Knowledge of Jenkins or other CI frameworks; knowledge of PyTest is a plus.

Responsibilities: * Test software following a formal automated testing method using various telephony and networking hardware spanning multiple hardware platforms.

• Generate test cases based on defined requirements and product functionality.
• Perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and development efforts.
• Analyze large log data sets and software test data while documenting results in a clear and concise manner.
• Create test documents such as test plans, requirements verification traceability matrices, and test summary reports, and provide analysis of test procedures.

Required

• 5+ years of experience with being a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results in while performing system testing of complex systems
• Strong Python experience
• Experience with using and developing scripts in Python and creating regular expressions for searching data sets
• Experience with integrating new and old technologies into existing network configurations and test beds
• Experience with creating scenarios that support the creation of test cases and analysis of procedures
• Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing
• Ability to develop, build, and test multiple lab environments using various telephony and networking hardware following formal testing methods
• Ability to set priorities and rearrange schedules to address unexpected issues, and perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and development efforts Desired: * Knowledge of Jenkins or other Continuous Integration Frameworks
• Knowledge of PyTest automation frameworks
• Knowledge of SPLUNK
• Knowledge of working in a Linux environment
• Knowledge of working in an Agile environment

Clearance

TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
