Job summary

Set of X is hiring focused owners to join an elite team building government-grade testing solutions. All positions require active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

As a test engineer, you will develop and execute automated test scripts in Python, create test documents, and help integrate new technologies into testbeds across multiple platforms. Join a team that values ownership and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and performing system testing of complex systems.
• Strong Python experience and ability to develop scripts and regular expressions for data search.
• Experience integrating new and old technologies into existing network configurations and testbeds.

Responsibilities

• Test software following formal automated testing methods using telephony and networking hardware across multiple platforms.
• Generate test cases from requirements and product functionality.
• Conduct baseline, system, and regression testing to support R&D efforts.
• Analyze large log datasets and test data; document results clearly and concisely.
• Create test documents such as test plans, traceability matrices, and test summary reports; provide analysis of procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Test software following a formal automated testing method using various telephony and networking hardware spanning multiple hardware platforms.
• Generate test cases based on defined requirements and productfunctionality.
• Perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and developmentefforts.
• Analyze large log data sets and software test data while documenting results in a clear and concisemanner.
• Create test documents such as test plans, requirements verification traceability matrices, and testsummary reports, and provide analysis of test procedures.

Required:

• 5+ years of experience with being a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results in while performing system testing of complex systems
• Strong Python experience
• Experience with using and developing scripts in Python and creating regular expressions for searching data sets
• Experience with integrating new and old technologies into existing network configurations and testbeds
• Experience with creating scenarios that support the creation of test cases and analysis of procedures
• Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing
• Ability to develop, build, and test multiple lab environments using various telephony and networking hardware following formal testing methods
• Ability to set priorities and rearrange schedules to address unexpected issues, and perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and development efforts

• Knowledge of Jenkins or other Continuous Integration Frameworks
• Knowledge of PyTest automation frameworks
• Knowledge of SPLUNK
• Knowledge of working in a Linux environment
• Knowledge of working in an Agile environment

Clearance:

TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
