Job summary

Atmus Filtration Technologies in Cookeville, TN is seeking a Test Engineer Technician – Level III to join our team onsite. You will build, test and troubleshoot filtration systems and related test equipment, ensuring data quality and reliability of results.

Responsibilities include configuring data acquisition systems, performing tests per established procedures, analyzing data, maintaining lab equipment, and supporting engineering with equipment evaluation and method development. Travel minimal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent in a STEM field is required.
• Regionally applicable certification or two-year associate's degree preferred.
• Licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations may be required.

• Maintains lab equipment and performs calibration and troubleshooting.

• Completes Diesel Fuel filtration related testing as needed.

We are looking for a talented Test Engineer Technician – Level III to join our team.

Location: Cookeville, TN - Onsite

Travel: Less than 10%

Relocation: Available to those that qualify

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Builds, repairs and prepares articles for testing and associated auxiliary equipment. Installs test article into test structure (test cell, table, rig, etc.). Perform tests in accordance with set test methods.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing in accordance with established test procedures and methodology.
• Consistently provides accurate and reliable test results.
• Has an in-depth understanding of the function of the test equipment used to perform tests and the contribution of the test equipment to the validity of the test results.
• Configures and operates data acquisition systems; analyzes and reviews data for appropriateness.
• Has an in-depth understanding of the functioning of the product under test to assess the contribution of the product to the validity of the test results.
• Performs test stand installation, troubleshooting and setups and the upkeep and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Provides support/recommendations to engineering for equipment supplier evaluation and qualification, equipment and facility updates and instrument specification.
• Complete Diesel Fuel filtration related testing in support of unique business challenges
• This includes industry standardized testing and non-standard testing. Needs to be detail driven and observant
• Collecting test data and post-processing into test reports and testing presentations.
• Complete data quality reviews and work alongside the Test Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues observed.
• Managing Lab Workflow by documenting and tracking testing completed.
• Test equipment maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Support non-standard test method development.
• Test System development and integration of instrumentation and automation.
• A strong understanding of Mechanical and Fluid systems/dynamics.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.
• Regionally applicable certification or two-year associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study preferred.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Base salary range: $56,958 to $71,197/ year

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
