Job summary

Gentuity is seeking a student-level Software Test Intern to assist the Software Test team with daily verification across the software development lifecycle, including merge request testing and V&V. You will help build an automation test suite and develop scripts for automation and data analysis.

You'll identify defects, reproduce failure modes, and communicate results to the R&D team while gaining exposure to medical devices and bioimaging contexts.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python, C++, or scripting languages and basics of software testing.
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate technical information.

Responsibilities

• Help building automation test suite
• Through testing, discover product defects and work to reproduce failure modes
• Communicate test results to the larger R&D team
• Participate in the development of scripts for automation of testing & data analysis
• Assist in additional R&D activities as needed

Requirements

EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior work experience in Python, C++ or any scripting languages and basics of software testing
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning
• Good documentation skills and knowledge of why it is important
• Ability to analyze, understand and communicate technical information
• Organization and attention to detail
• Adept at managing multiple tasks, prioritization and working with others
• An innate desire to understand how things work, as well as how they may fail
• Interest in medical devices, bioimaging and software design

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in software engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, physics, or a related technical area.
