Job summary

NTN Bearing Corporation (NBCA) is seeking a Test Engineer in Farmington Hills, MI. You will conduct CVJ test operations, analyze results, and maintain the testing lab. You will collaborate with supervisors, vendors, and customers to ensure high-quality test processes and reports.

The role requires a BS degree in a technical field and up to 3 years in mechanical engineering, with hands-on testing skills and willingness to travel for on-site testing and meetings.

Qualifications

• BSME or related technical field is required.
• 0–3 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to function and work in a team environment.
• Data Acquisition & Analysis/Measurement System experience.
• CVJ knowledge and IATF 16949/ISO14001 knowledge.
• Knowledge of servo hydraulic test equipment.
• Willingness to travel and work extra hours; odd hour conference calls may occur.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CVJ test operations following procedures; inspect/test parts.
• Analyze test results by failure mode; write reports.
• Maintain test facilities and equipment; keep lab clean.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for test materials and lab supplies.
• Design, fabricate, and modify testing fixtures and parts; perform minor maintenance.
• Support customer vehicle on-site testing and communicate with customer.
• Perform data acquisition/analysis; create durability and fatigue test conditions.
