At GDIT, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-assurance systems that enable mission success for our Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We are seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer who is passionate about quality, automation, and continuous improvement to join our team in Springfield, VA.
In this role, you will help ensure that mission-critical systems meet stringent functional and non-functional requirements, supporting warfighters and safeguarding national security.
How a Test Engineer Will Make an Impact:
As a Test Engineer, you will define, develop, and execute test plans and automated scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security. You will collaborate closely with software developers, systems engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional, performance, security, and compliance requirements across DoD environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Years of Experience: 5–10 years in software testing, quality assurance, or related roles.
Certifications Preferred: Security+, ISTQB (Foundation or Advanced), Certified JMeter Performance Tester, or similar certifications

The likely salary range for this position is $127,075 - $171,925. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
