Job summary

HME is seeking a temporary Test Engineer III in Carlsbad, CA, to design, fabricate, and program Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and to develop cost-effective test methods for new products. You will evaluate product designs for testability, generate procedures, and train technicians on tester operations.

A strong background in electronics, software tools, and PCB ATE experience is required. The role requires 5 years of experience and a BS in Electrical Engineering, with a Masters preferred.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Required).
• Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5 years or equivalent Education & Experience.
• Travel 0%.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and program Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
• Develop, evaluate, and recommend test methods and equipment
• Evaluate new product designs to improve Design for Test (DFT)
• Develop specifications for manufacturing processes with Manufacturing Engineering
• Generate test procedures
• Curate time and cost estimates for tester development
• Train Technicians on tester operation and troubleshooting
• Provide Testing support
• Assist in design and development of manual test fixtures
• Perform all other job responsibilities as assigned
